Job Bulletins

JOB BULLETINS COMMUNICATE WITH MEMBERS AND UPDATE MEMBER WEB PAGE

Job Bulletins are used by the dispatcher to communicate directly with members on the Local union website, in the password protected area titled LIVE FACILITIES UPDATE. Job Bulletins also update each member’s personal web page at end of business each day when the dispatcher “publishes” the Schedule. Text messages with Job Bulletins can also be sent to each member. Job Bulletins can be “locked” in the Scheduler so the content of the Bulletin is not displayed on the union website, published in the Scheduler, sent to the member as a text message or sent to the Member Web Page.

The dispatcher “builds” Job Bulletins in the Facilities module, inserting job profiles in each bulletin as it is built. Job Bulletins are “sent” to the Scheduler, where member names are added to Job Bulletins, just like they are added to any facility profile. Pre-built Job Bulletins are stored in the Reuse Facilities component of the Facilities module. There are a variety of uses for Job Bulletins; they can be tailored to meet the specific needs of each union. Some of the communication functions used for Job Bulletins are listed below:

  • Next Member Out (Rated, Casual, Groups)
  • Official Union Business
  • Any Other Job Requests
  • Mark-Off for Now
  • Down for Night Calls
  • No Answer (dispatcher’s phone calls)
